Window Treatments for Bay Windows
If you own a house that has a bay window installed, either in the living room or the kitchen, you will know that there are a few different window treatments for bay windows. Although the look of a sheer curtain over your window with a full curtain tied back over the top, looks very romantic and traditional, I have found that it is not all that functional, especially if you need precise control over how much sun light is coming into your home at any given time.
After testing a few different types of window treatments, I have found pinch pleated blinds to be the best alternative. This style of blind is specifically created to insulate your home. Its unique ridges help to keep the heat out of your house in summer, and in during winter, making them the perfect solution for areas that suffer from extremes of termperature. As far as bay windows are concerned, I love the way these blinds can fold up from the bottom, or down from the top, giving me total control over how much light enters my kitchen.
