Telling Time
I remember whenever I was the kid trying to figure out how to tell time. I don’t know why it seemed so complicated back then. These days you might actually be able to get away without having to learn how to read a clock because you can just look at all the digital clocks, but you’d probably always be frustrated by not being able to actually read a real clock. I don’t know what it seemed difficult to understand that the little hand pointed the hour that the big one pointed to the minutes. Maybe it’s just that time is divided up by 60 minutes and not 100. Maybe this is what’s confusing about the entire concept. I am glad that I learned how to tell time and I think everyone goes to this experience as a child. It is interesting though, that time is divided by 60. Why do we have 100 minutes? I wonder what made us decided to divide time by 60. Maybe it really is because of how fast the earth rotates around the sun. I’m just glad that I have a Croton watch to be able to keep track of it all.
