The Convenience of a Portable Closet

Owning a portable closet is a very convenient item to have around the home. They are versatile and can be used in many different household tasks or situations. For instance, cleaning clothes is a lot of easier with my portable closet, a trick I picked up from the filks at the Portable Closet Guide. Instead of grabbing them from the dryer and quickly moving to the bedroom where they can be folded and placed into the closet – often getting wrinkled along the way – now the task is different. I simply wheel my ultra portable closet into the laundry room when the buzzer goes off, and move each item from the dryer into the closet, perfectly folded and ready to go. No wrinkles, no mess, no hurrying. Once finished here, I wheel the portable closet into my room, and unload the laundry into the closet and dressers.

Or if I’m feeling real lazy, I just leave it in the portable closet! It is a closet after all, right?

Why You Do Not Want A Plastic Shed

One of the newer inventions in the world of garden sheds are the sheds made out of plastic. Now what is wrong with wooden sheds or even those made in metal? Do we need any more plastic to pollute our environment? If we put the eco glasses aside there are some disadvantages to having a plastic garden shed. It might be cheaper than the equivalent wooden or metal solution but it is not without reason. The thing is that it will simply not have the same durability as a wooden shed. You will most likely also find that because of the reduced weight (compared to wood or metal), it can cause you a lot of trouble in rough weather. Especially if you live in a windy area where tornadoes and hurricanes rule! Will you save a few buck only to see your shed tip over when the wind blows?

Figuring Out How To Get A Cheap Shed.

I am all for getting things cheap.  In fact, I am a huge bargain hunter.  But if you get something cheap and sacrifice quality it isn’t always worth it.  This is especially true when it comes to home improvement.  Recently, I’ve been trying to figure out how to get a cheap shed to put out back.  I have a household with 5 people and no basement or attic, and it would really help my garage situation if the bicycles and garden stuff had somewhere else to live.

So anyhow I started looking at sheds in the less expensive range and boy are they junk – with the exception of metal sheds which are not too expensive, but still…. it is not what I want either.  SIGH!

So I started looking into building my own and that seems to be a pretty good option… at least at the moment.  We will see how it goes.
