The country style of decorating your home has been around a long time. In fact, it was not always a style; it used to be just how things were done. I often wonder how a person from the 1700’s would react if they visited some of the houses that incorporate this style into their homes. They would probably feel right at home and wonder why mankind hadn’t made any progress in the last 300 years.
One of the easiest ways to get that country look in your kitchen is to add country kitchen curtains. You could get a three tiered curtain with valance and swag, or if you do not need that much covering you could get by with just the valance and still create a charming atmosphere in your kitchen. There are so many different designs of valances out there that you are sure to find one that fits perfectly with your home.

No need to stress about kitchen curtains
Sometimes you can get quite worked up about getting your home just right – and getting stressed out about kitchen curtains is no exception.
But it’s not that difficult to get them right.
First of all decide what style of kitchen you have so that you can choose appropriate curtains.
A modern kitchen lends itself to very plain curtains with simple headings and plain material. For this kind of kitchen you can even forego curtains altogether and choose a roman shade or roller blind which is kept well out of the way during the day.
A country kitchen needs more homely curtains. The best thing to do is to browse around online or in local stores and find those places which make curtains to order so that you can find a fabric you like and have custom kitchen curtains made the right size for your windows.
A retro kitchen needs curtains which are similar to those which would be used at the time. These can be the most difficult kind of kitchen curtains to source but you may find some help on specialist retro websites (don’t be scared to ask questions on specialist forums). If all else fails fit a plain roller blind instead of kitchen curtains and keep it rolled out of the way during the day so that it does not detract too much from your room theme.
