Here’s a situation you might face as a jewelry craftsman: What do you do if a customer repeatedly breaks the same piece of jewelry? These jewelry repairs are tricky. You will want to determine what they are doing to it. For example, how do they wear it? What kind of places are they wearing it to? Do they wear it while showering? Do they wear it constantly without ever taking it off? If that is the case, you can let them know they are putting too much wear and tear on the piece. You might want to let them know that you will fix it for the second time, but you will have to charge them in the future if you have to fix it again. On the other hand, if you find out if is not breaking because of anything the customer is doing, you might need to reconsider your design.
