In todays saturated market, buying a cell phone is an increasingly hard task. There are so many features, terminology, and whizz bang features that it is hard to know what to buy!
The best strategy is to start with a list of the top features that you really need. It is surprisingly easy to overlook the fact that the primary purpose of most phones is to actually make and receive calls, and maybe send messages! For most phone users these will be at the top of the list. Other common features that you might include are:
Size – do you keep you phone in a pocket? If so, a smaller model will be a plus.
Camera – if you like having a way to capture images on the fly, a phone camera is a handy function.
Battery life – Cellular phone batteries vary widely in capacity. make sure you pick one that is up to the uses you have in mind.
Internet and email – if you love your web browser, look for a phone that has good internet features.

When looking for unlocked mobile phones you need to learn to avoid scams that associated with the industry. Whether you’re trying to buy a phone that is already unlocked or buying software/hardware that will unlock a currently owned phone, there are many people out there trying to scam you out of your money. First off, when buying from auction websites and less reputable web sites, be aware that some sellers will try to sell you used, stolen, or even locked phones under the name of a “new unlocked cell phone”. To avoid that type of scam, only buy from sellers with high feedback ratings or good reviews. Don’t just trust the reviews on their site either, find a 3rd party review site. The other way that scammers like to take your money is through “phone unlocking software”. Many of the sites selling the software for unlock codes often try to sell you software that is coined as “freeware”. Freeware is software made to be distributed for free and is illegal to sell to other people. To avoid that type of cell phone scam, have the same approach as you would with buying new unlocked mobile phones and only buy from sites with high feedback reviews from 3rd party sites.
