Giving Baptism Gifts

Giving baptism gifts is a good feeling.  Like the saying goes, “it is better to give than to receive.”  And giving baptism gifts to a baby is something that you know will be cherished by the parents and passed on to the baby once he or she reaches a proper age.  For this reason, choosing baptism gifts should be given a certain amount of consideration.  Choose something that has meaning and is of a good quality so that it will be cherished and valued.  One idea would be a ceramic or pewter trinket box or a music box.  You could even have it engraved with the child’s name, birth date and baptismal date.  A piece of jewelry like a baby bracelet is also a welcomed gift.  An adult-sized charm bracelet would make a wonderful keepsake.  A baptismal-themed charm can be selected for the first charm and you could add a new charm for each birthday.
