Slate Floor Tiles Ruin the Fun
Every kid learns to love the early morning hours before his parents wake up. Running around the house in pajamas, eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch from the box, watching cartoons… and Mom and Dad would rather sleep than say run after you saying, “no.” Slate floor tiles, however, interfere with one very particular and very treasured piece of this morning glory. Any seven year old knows the joy of putting on a pair of thick, clean socks and skating down the hallway into the kitchen or living room. Get a running start, and there is no comparable fun in the world. But slate floor tiles are slip proof. Uselessly slip proof. Any parent that wants to sleep in on Saturday morning should not install slate tile. What are socks for, anyway?
