I wrote recently about a shop I found in New York City, Manhattan to be precise, that sold nothing but luxury mens silk ties. When I visited the shop last November I ended up buying 5 ties for a total of slightly over $300.The one thing I regret from my trip there was that I didn’t buy one of their silk bowties. They had a huge range of these, but as I already owned four silk bow ties, and I’d spent 300 bucks, I thought it was an extravagance too far. That was until I lost my favorite black silk tie that I wear with my tuxedo. I have three more, but none are of the same quality. I’ll just have to go back to NYC.
