My Friend’s Art Deco Engagement Ring
I have a friend who feels she deserves only the best of the best. More power to her I guess. She pretty much always gets what she wants and people let her roll over them with hardly any resistance at all. I tend to push back, and I think that is why she doesn’t ever try to boss me around at all anymore.
Anyway, the one time that I saw her absolutely not willing to cave in was when she was dealing with her now husband, Robert, and she wanted a specific engagement ring. She wanted one like her grandmother had owned. It was a beautiful art deco engagement ring from the early 1930s. I’ve got to say, I’d never have the nerve to tell someone the kind of ring I wanted when getting engaged. It is a beautiful ring though and she shows it off every chance she gets. To me, it really represents a LOT about how their marriage operates.
