The charming capital, Avarua, is a small but well formed town that truly works on island time. Friday is party night and Rarotonga’s bars keep going till 2am, so get down to Avarua for a cocktail and dance the night away.
The most popular beach in Rarotonga is Muri Beach, set on the stunning Muri Lagoon. Many resorts perch somewhere along the lagoon’s edge, and offer visitors breathtakingly beautiful views.
