Futon Slipcovers Provide Better Alternatives
With a movement that is sure to be one of those pivotal and permanent switches over time, the green revolution is shaping many of our buying decisions. These can be in the form of alternative materials to the ways in which we think about buying the foods we eat and products we use. Futons have been around for many years and, arguably, used some questionable manufacturing processes early on. Many were processed with the chemicals and substrates that lead to off gassing and other harmful by products from their manufacturing processes. The only way to protect yourself or child from this would have been to seal your mattress in a bag that didn’t let the fumes escape. These are just one type of futon cover that goes ‘beneath the surface’.
Of course, the most common types of futon covers are the ones that come in various patterns, shapes and styles to meet any futon owner’s needs. The green movement has not forgotten about this segment of the population either. There are hemp covers for your futon that are quite durable and get more comfortable over time. The organic cotton futon slipcover is also available and has many of the same advantages and disadvantages of cotton in terms of use and care.
