It is considered to be against the law to copy DVD’s which are copy protected. Many people will try to sell pirated copies for profit and all industries are fighting against this third party piracy. Sometimes it’s smart to to make duplicate DVD’s for your own use because you never know if you will damage or lose the original DVD disc. You should always obey copyright infringement laws.
Copy Protected DVD’s are best copied using special software that produces an original backup to the original DVD disc. Sometimes this is referred to as a 1:1 backup. Many versions of this DVD copy software contains special coding that will scramble up the protection encryption which will allow you to get a perfect copy.
