When I was buying ivory bridal shoes for my wedding dress, I had a really hard time. One of my problems was that I didn’t find a large selection. I started out looking in bridal stores and there were some selections, but those shoes were very uncomfortable. I noticed that the designers were more focused on the rhinestones and lace on the shoe and less focused on the comfort. I then moved to department stores to look. There was a lot less selection in the department stores which I found out was because of the season. Summer tends to be a bigger wedding season and I was shopping during the winter. Therefore, there were a lot of silver wedding shoes and gold shoes, but I didn’t find a lot of ivory shoes. Finally, one thing I forgot was the shade of my dress. After finding the perfect ivory bridal shoes, I took them to my dress fitting and figured out that they didn’t match my dress. In fact, they were a lot lighter than the ivory color of my dress and it made the shoes look white instead of ivory, especially in different lights.
Therefore, if you are looking to buy ivory bridal shoes, make sure you do the following: 1) bring a swatch of material with you to the store, 2) shop during the Spring and Summer, 3) shop early, 4) buy multiple pairs so you can bring them to your dress fitting and make sure they match your dress.
