One or 2 day car insurance is handy if you are borrowing a friend’s car while on holiday. On holiday in Cork I borrowed my brother’s car and then had to learn how to drive the Irish way! First off find out about the local traffic jams – and learn to avoid! Irish towns aren’t large – but they were designed long before the motor car was in invented and medieval city planners failed to work out that cars needed more than one and half lanes – yes that’s in total not in both directions!

So figure out the local driving rules – official and unofficial before you start driving! And make sure you get some sort of temporary car insurance if you are borrowing a car.
